I’m sure everyone wants to be successful but the question is what simple changes can be done in our lives in order to achieve amazing results? We don’t need to make drastic changes all the time to achieve something great. Honestly it’s the simple things that matters the most. The simple habits, the daily routines, and even the attitude by which we look at things are among the basic factors that significantly affect how our life turns out to be. We hear it all the time that life is supposed to be enjoyed. You have to go easy. Yes it’s true. Finding time to enjoy and relax is necessary. It’s also part of the whole process in achieving ultimate success. However it pays to remember that in some situations life is a marathon. If you want to keep up with the pace of time you better not sprint rather you should join the run. How is this applicable in making simple but significant changes that I’m talking about earlier? Statistics say that on average people change habits in about 3 to 4 weeks. A lot probably made it a habit to do something one day then do another thing the next. I’m guilty of the same. There are times when I find myself interested in doing something one moment and before even finishing what I started I realize that I want to do another thing. Now where’s the consistency in that? If you want to acquire new skills and master that skill you need at least a month to do so, right? You can’t do it one day or a few days then shift interests the following days. Or worst you stop doing anything because you feel that you need to take a rest! Doing this would make you a jack of all trade but a master to none. This is where change is needed. Your way of thinking is what keeps you from reaching your goals. Being fickle minded this way won’t get you anywhere near success. Success requires hard-work, perseverance and consistency. This is for certain. If you want an amazing life you need to work hard for it. Also you must persevere in doing the necessary steps to get you where you want to be. And this demands consistency in doing these things. You can’t just let anything divert you from doing what you’re supposed to do. So the key is never to do something today then stop doing it by tomorrow especially when that particular activity is a necessary ingredient for you to achieve an amazing life! Don’t hop form one “life changing” idea to another just because the other one looks more amazing to you. The truth is you’re just avoiding the first one you started doing coz it turned out to be quite challenging or perhaps a bit more difficult than you expected. It’s also important to have a clear goal so that you will also have a clear action plan in reaching that goal. This way you won’t have to wander around one seemingly great idea to another because you exactly know what you want and how you can get it.
