When you want to find a retirement plan there are a couple of good places you can look. You just need to know what the best places are so you can start your search for the right plan. First you need to understand that not all plans are the same. You have to go over the plan carefully and very thoroughly to be sure it is the best one for you before choosing it. Second you need to understand that participation in these plans is not the same in the different U.S. states. Understanding what each state offers helps you determine the right place to find the plan that will work the best for you. Where you get your plan will depend on where you live. It is always a good idea to take time to do your research on plans for retirement plans that are available in the state you live in first. Then do a search for other plans in other states to compare them and see how they differ. The Midwest and the Northeast states of the U.S had the highest percentage rates for workers that participated in these plans, with Wisconsin topping the list with 68%. The South, West and Southwest states had the lowest participation levels. Florida was the lowest at 42%. Now, here are some of the other best places that you can use to find the plan that is right for your retirement. 1. Wisconsin - They had a 67.7 percent rate of workers that participated in the retirement plans. 2. Iowa - Had 66.9% participation. 3. North Dakota - They had a slightly lower rate of 65.8 percent. 4. Connecticut - Their percentage was 65% These are just a few of the best places to get a good retirement plan. Again, you want to be sure that you look at plans for your state before searching elsewhere. Most plans need to be in the state you live in, but you will have to do some research to determine that for sure. Just remember that when you want to find a retirement plan, it is a good idea not to rush your decision and be sure to look at every plan that you can find. This will help to ensure that you are making the best decision possible for your retirement years. Don't wait because your retirement will be here before you know it and having a retirement plan is essential to being able to enjoy this time of your life.
