In a practical sense, this information will tell you when you should stop eating.

The Basal Metabolic Rate when combined with your Body Mass Index can be used in various formulae available online to determine how many calories you need to burn. Meaning, that by using these two values, you can actually figure out how much exercise your body needs. In fact, these values would even determine the type of exercises you should include in your workout program.
