I wanted to share with you some simple tips for the police exam. Hundreds of people end up applying for a single job for the police. In this economic environment you can expect even more people to be applying. That brings your odds down. All applicants have to pass a written examination to go onto the interviewing process. 70% of people will fail, which knocks off a lot of the competition. You should be looking for every advantage you can get to put yourself ahead of the competition because we're talking about a career opportunity here. I'm going to help you in that regard with a few simple tips for the police exam that will give you a huge advantage. One of the most common questions is looking at mug shots of criminals and trying to identify the person in other pictures. Everyone thinks they're good at this, but it's a lot harder than you'd think. Here is something you can do; open up your old high school yearbook and start going through all the pictures. They're literally all mug shots. Look at the pictures from dances and other events (don't look at their name) and find their picture in their class. It seems like a stupid exercise, but it gives you practice focusing on people's faces. Another one of my simple tips for the police exam is to spend a little time and care on your writing skills. Spelling and grammar are going to be graded, even though they're not going to tell you that. As an officer, you'd be expected to write a lot of written reports that would be viewed by lawyers and judges. You have to be able to communicate in written form effectively, so during the exam take your time on this. Learn how to Pass the Police Exam
