Most companies decide to try promotional marketing at one point or another, but the sad reality is that few actually manage to obtain tangible results from it. Promotional events have a huge potential and they can be adapted from company to company. However, in the past years managers have chosen online advertising over events marketing, because they imagine that the latter option is no longer efficient. Depending on what company you work with, the results can be good or bad, but, in the end, it all depends on the creativity of the event. The sad reality is that managers have resorted to the same conventional options recently, so it’s not surprising that customers are getting harder to impress and promotional marketing incurs more costs than profit. A common misconception that managers have is that unless they hire a really expensive promotional model agency or invest thousands of pounds into spectacular events, they will never get the results obtained by companies such as Nike or Coca-Cola.

Without a doubt, one of the biggest marketing myths is that only flashy and expensive campaigns can impress the target audience. In reality, it is the idea that attracts new customers and if you work with the right creative professionals, you can get amazing results even without spending a lot of money. In the past years, small business managers have decided to walk on the beaten track and choose the conventional option: to hire one or two promotional models, have them wear a uniform and stand in front of a small stall, inviting them to taste a certain product. This option has been used so many times that people who go to supermarkets don’t even see these brand ambassadors anymore. To stand out from the crowd, you have to look outside the box and choose a strategy that’s not necessarily flashy, but out of the ordinary. For best results, you should work with a company that stands out through original event staff jobs.

Before deciding on an approach, it’s advisable to browse the market and conduct an analysis and see what your target audience is used to. If you live in a smaller city, then you’re in a privileged position, because you have less competition and you can apply original strategies that people don’t see every day. For example, you could hire a mascot or work with a company that can provide you with innovative promotional solutions. You should not confuse promotional marketing with experiential marketing: while the former simply implies the presentation of a product, the latter engages the client and encourages him/her to use all senses to discover the product. Just because you don’t engage the client in experiential marketing doesn’t mean that promotional market limits the options. On the contrary, if you know how to hire the staff and what approach to go for, you can reap many benefits. Don’t be afraid to go off the beaten track and choose something else other than the classic advertising style. You can hire models that are funny, creative and bubbly, because customers react well to positive individuals and they are more likely to purchase your products if they associate them with friendly individuals.
