Alternative Alzheimer's Disease Treatment

Health,Fitness,Advice
Alzheimer’s disease is the result of a slow degeneration of nerve cells neurons in the areas of the brain that causes a decline in intellectual function. Symptoms usually appear gradually, get progressively worse over years, and are irreversible. Minor forgetfulness becomes more pronounced; speech deteriorates; the ability to do every day things. Such as dressing, bathing, and eating, is increasingly difficult. In the final stages, severe intellectual decline is taking place that results in complete die within 8 to10 years of onset, often from complications such as malnutrition or pneumonia. It afflicts about 10 percent of Americans over the age of 62, and as many as 50 percent of those over eighty-five. However, the disease does not affect only the elderly, but may strike when a person is in his or her forties.

Alzheimer’s disease was considered to be a psychological problem before, but it is now known to be a degenerative disorder that is characterized by a specific set of physiological changes in the brain. Nerve fibers surrounding the hippocampus, the brain’s memory center, become tangled, and information is no longer carried properly to or from the brain. New memories cannot be formed, and memories formed earlier cannot be retrieved. Characteristic plaques accumulate in the brain as well. These plaques are composed largely of protein-containing substance called betaamyloid. Scientists believe that the plaques accumulate in and damage nerve cells.

Diet and nutrition recommended for alternative Alzheimer’s disease treatment

Eat a well balanced diet of natural foods and follow the supplementation program recommended above. Have a hair analysis to rule out the possibility of heavy metal intoxication as the cause of symptoms. Include plenty of fiber in your diet. Try oat or rice bran. Have allergy testing performed to rule out environmental and/or food allergies. Avoid alcohol, cigarette smoke, processed foods, and environmental toxins, especially metals such as aluminium and mercury. Smoking more than doubles the risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, according to a study published in the British medical journal the Lancet. While recent studies have not substantiated a connection between aluminium and Alzheimer’s disease, it is still wise to avoid aluminium intakes as much as possible. All metals in excess are toxic to the body. Butcher’s broom promotes healthy circulation. Ginkgo biloba extract, taken in liquid or capsule form, acts as an antioxidant and increase blood flow to the brain. According to a report published in Octover 22, 1977, edition of the journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), ginkgo biloba extract can stabilize and, in some cases people improve mental functioning and social behaviour of people with Alzheimer’s disease. Take 100 to 200 mg of ginkgo biloba extract three times daily. Kava kava and St. John’s wort help calm people who anger easily.

The ideal alternative treatment endorsed by almost top alternative doctors is the self-administered oxygen therapy. Scientist claim that harmful bacteria, viruses such as pneumonia, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, heart disease and even aids, do not cause the problems (diseases) by themselves. They just reproduce and spread in their natural habitat the oxygen – deprived bodies. The moment the cells in our bodies is deprived of oxygen it becomes acidic and normally all kinds of viruses and harmful bacteria thrive and reproduce exponentially. The cells with enough oxygen are uninhabitable by all kinds of diseases and viruses. Therefore, the recommended defense against all diseases is to keep the cells in our bodies always oxygenated. Take the time to explore and study this powerful and effective treatment.
