African continent is divided in a large number of communities spread throughout the continent yet living as one. All these African communities have different traditions, customs but still the uniting force of the African culture has been capable enough to keep them together even after leaving their mother land. Due to many reasons like slavery and search of better life, African communities have tried to escape the clutches of the poverty, corruption and illiteracy that have grabbed Africa in the recent history. All the African countries are suffering similar fate at the hands of the corrupt politicians, trying to benefiting themselves and not the people of Africa. Thus theses poor masses had to leave their country and move to western countries in search of the better place of living with improved style of living. Like any other community leaving their country and trying to establish themselves in a new country, all the African masses belonging to the African Diaspora also had to face several difficulties. Social inequality, employment inequality and lower quality of the lifestyle are some of the troubles African communities faced while living in the western countries. But now they have found out ways to improve their lifestyle and stay strong even as a minority through uniting all the different African communities. It was not an easy task to do but not impossible. African events are one of the best reasons which have helped African organizations to bring together different people on one similar level. These organizations have been organizing food festivals, dance and music festivals, and community get-togethers all around the United States and other countries. Here people belonging to African Diaspora indulge in experiencing the magic of their art, culture and food. To make the event more realistic and enjoyable it is compulsory to wear African attire and to take part in at least one event. African food and fashion have managed to gain international attention due to the exposure given to it by media and international communities. People are now trying to bring African fashion trends in limelight by mixing it with mainstream fashion trends.
