Author Comment / Biography: Renee Miller, President and Creative Director, is one of the most entrepreneurial women business owners in Los Angeles. She founded The Miller Group – an integrated marketing company – in 1990 when TransAmerica Insurance hired her to manage the marketing of two major business divisions – workers comp and entertainment insurance. The Miller Group increased annual sales by double digits within 18 months.
Since then, Renee has worked with dozens of blue-chip clients, including GE Capital Res/Com, Kenwood USA, First Federal Bank of California, The Wolf Range Company, Goodwill Southern California, San Francisco Travel Association, RE/MAX, 7-Eleven, Rembrandt Tooth Whitener, Kirkland Signature (Costco) and the Keck School of Medicine at USC. For the latter, she created the “Dreams To Reality” campaign that catapulted the university’s successful $1 billion fundraising effort – all within a decade.
Renee has been recognized as one of Los Angeles’ leading creative directors. She has won nearly every major creative award including One Show, Communication Arts (CA), Best of the West, ADDYs, Graphis, Los Angeles Beldings and N.Y. Art Directors Club – competing against many of the largest agencies in the country, if not the world.
Renee has been featured in Adweek, Brandweek, Ad Age, Entrepreneur, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Marketing Sherpa and dozens of other publications around the country. She has guest lectured at USC, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Pepperdine University and Ohio State University; and she has spoken to dozens of groups including Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG), National Association of Women Business Owners and ProVisors.
