Hello, my given name is Lynette but I prefer to be called Lyn. I was born in a country town Queenscliffe, Victoria and spent my younger years growing up in Preston a suburb of Melbourne. My family moved to Sydney when I was a young teenager and I have lived here ever since, to be honest I can think of no other place I would rather have grown up in as the weather is mostly temperate, winter is short. During my teens my family lived close to the beach, Mona Vale to be precise and what a wonderful life we lived having the sound of the ocean and always being able to swim whenever we wished. During the spring, summer and autumn periods, we spent most of our waking hours on the beach or swimming, only returning home when hunger pangs drove us home. Now I live in the foot hills of the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, here too is very special as I have native birds visit our property. I am relatively new to the world of article writing, and I must admit it is fun. Being able to write about simple things I know and love and maybe inspire someone or maybe give help with my articles. I am married with 2 daughters and a wonderful grandson. I have a Tonkinese cat, called Lillipilli Blossom, such a delightful animal she is, personality plus!!! Sorry about my picture, camera shy, I will upload a picture of me in my younger years but in the meantime I thought one of our beloved Native Animals would be ideal so a cuddly Koala was my choice since the whole world knows and loves our Koala.
