At Toy Fair, there are over 100,000 toys. This year there were over 30,000 visitors at the event. The Toy Fair is actually not open to the public, so we decided to give you an inside look at some of the best toys at the show. Let’s talk about toys. Skylanders Swap Force Skylanders is one of the most popular video games of all time. Skylanders are interactive toys that can be placed on the "Portal of Power." The toys are then transported into the video game world. This year they are coming out with the Skylanders Swap Force toys. Now children can swap components of 16 different characters which will create over 250 different combinations. By swapping the characters we create new characters. Gamers will be able to create their own characters each with its own powers and skills. This is going to add a whole new dimension to the game. Skylanders fans are going to nuts for this new line of toys. The game will be released in the fall. VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Airport Educational toys are fun but kids also love playing with technology. Parents are always looking for classic toys that are educational. These classic toys have been given a little bit of a technology twist. Children can build this cool play set by assembling the various pieces. Kids get to be the pilot and watch the airport come to life. The track has built in trigger points. When a car passes over them, the toys can sing and speak. VTech calls these trigger points "Smart Points." These Smarts Points are located all over the track. Kids will even learn new things such as “Airport starts with the letter A”. The VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Airport is just one of eight different play sets in this new line of toys from VTech. These play sets can be combined into a larger play set. iLearn and Play Series Adventure Explorer It is amazing how much technology has changed since we were children. More and more kids are grabbing their parents' iPad and iPhones. Parents don’t want their kids to waste time on these devices. Instead, parents want their children to play something that is educational. Parents can place their iPad or iPhone inside of the toy. Then kids can download the free app. The iLearn and Play series offers a full curriculum for kids including math, reading, and spelling. The curriculum is created by learning specialists. The new series makes learning fun and offers a safe environment for kids to learn in. The Adventure Explorer toy actually contains a steering wheel that allows kids to drive around and explore. LiteBrix Children love to build. With these sets kids get to create, build, and illuminate. These bricks actually light up with LED lights. Kids can create cities, cars, and stages that light up.
