TV spots, newspaper ads, magazine boxes, and such aren’t the only means by which you can promote your offline business. New technology has led to new breakthroughs in the field of advertising. There are revolutionary methods that can help expand awareness for your product or service. Here are 5 of them:

1. Go online. The internet is the new reality. In such a short time, it has become an extension of the life that we know. Nowadays, people conduct a great part of their lives through the avenues of the World Wide Web. Failing to tap into this channel would be disastrous for your business, even fatal if you’d consider the fact that your competitors are trying to establish a strong web presence as we speak. By having your own website, you’d make it easy for people to find you. By having your own online store, you can continue to sell and reap earnings 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. By going online, you can expose your product to the 50 million people who are using the internet at any given time.

2. “Speak” to your audience. By “speak,” I mean really speaking to them via symposiums, seminars and workshops that you can organize for their benefit. This is an underutilized device, but one that is highly effective and capable of producing fiercely loyal customers for your enterprise. By “speaking” to them, they will get to know you on a more personal level and you will be able to win some sales via what marketing experts call as the “speed of trust.”

3. Distribute media kits. The media is always on the lookout for newsworthy things to publish. Make it easy for them by distributing media kits that contain, among others, the following: a press release about your business, your business’ profile, your business’ history, your list of prominent clients, a graphical listing (if possible) of some samples of your products, your contact details, and the likes.

4. Keep in touch with customers. Studies show that more than 60% of your sales will come from repeat customers, at the average. This means that you should take good care of the people who do decide to buy from you. You must be able to keep in touch with them, and to do this, you will need to capture their contact details. Offer them something enticing in exchange for the same.

5. Get people to promote your products for you. This is, by far, the easiest way to promote your offline business. After all, by simply providing a high quality product – something which you should be aiming for in the first place, as dictated by the rules of sound business practice – you will be able to transform your customers into raving fans that will refer your goods to the people they know.
