With millions of websites online it is hard to know which ones to visit and use and which to ignore. You could easily waste many hours, days, weeks or even months wading through just some of them only to find they were disappointing. It's a good idea to work out what you want to find on a website before you start looking. Is it a psychic reading, is it information, news, answers, a forum, or perhaps you want to find a directory where you can list your professional services and get clients who pay you for your time and skills? Nowadays there are very few real directories online, and fewer directories. Probably because it takes a lot of money and time to set them up and run them and most would not see that as a good use of their time and money. There is also the fact that many try to avoid using them or are in a rush and simply go on social media instead. This is often because they are not good at setting up and running a business, not good at communication, writing, advertising, and if they were faced with having to fill in a proper directory form they would make a mess of it and not get any clients. Of course this means they should forget the idea, but they prefer to try to advertise free of charge on social media and then wonder how come they get nowhere. Personally if I were paying a professional for their services I would want them to be a lot more on the ball and intelligent than those people. Otherwise I cannot see how they can help me. One of the snags with this is that many of them are simply looking for opportunities to get money rather than offering true skills. I used to employ writers and often had people email me asking me for a job. They could not spell and used awful grammar, yet they thought that did not matter. Maybe they expected me to write the piece for them?! One or two expected me to pay genuine writers to go over their "work" and rewrite it ! What they really meant was that they wanted the money, not to do the work. I am sure that if I had offered to send them a lot of money regularly they would say lovely great all sorted. Genuine people, those with real skill and talent can go far and make a fortune if they apply themselves.
