Here’s an example of a celebrity who doesn’t let his haters faze him. Kid Rock. I had no idea this person existed until I read about him. At first, I thought he was Miley Cyrus’ dad, but nope, he’s a completely different person. Recently, I read that he got upset that the audience recorded him while he performed on stage at some restaurant in Tennessee. He yelled at him and used a specific colorful word that starts with the letter F and rhymes with maggot. I also learned that two years ago, he attacked Oprah and another person named Joy Behar, and that caused people to call him a racist and things like that. He responded by posting the following in Twitter: ---------- “All this BS going on has just got [sic] my blood pumpin’ and is only more songwriting fuel for a new record and tour in 2021." ---------- The takeaway from this? There is power in being unapologetic. Too many people nowadays are apologizing for things that aren’t worth apologizing for. A good handful of celebrity apology incidents make good examples of that. As soon as the words “I’m sorry” come out of their mouths, they’ve admitted that they’ve done something wrong. But it seems like Kid Rock knew better than to give his critics what they wanted. And what happened? Dozens of articles were written about his incident, and I’m sure that got him a lot of new attention, including myself. His haters are most likely fuming and talking about him to everyone they know, which is free word-of-mouth marketing for him. He’s going to channel all that hateful energy into creating new songs for his die-hard fans. Now after all this, I’m not saying to go out there and find ways to deliberately offend people.
