Trekking in Nepal is not only an adventurous journey. Besides base camp trekking and high passes adventure journeys, there are numerous trekking routes that fit the beginner trekkers, family, school students, and elderly. You don’t need to worry about altitude problems, cold temperature, and lengthy days trekking in the Nepalese Himalaya. Nepal also offers the accuracy of short and easy treks with magnificent views of mountains, landscapes, and much more natural resources. You may explore with local tradition and culture with your short stay in Nepal with some popular easy explore in Nepal.

Trekking in Nepal or anywhere else in the Himalayas is not a very easy and luxurious activity. It is a physical activity that needs some level of struggle. You don’t need to have a lot of training for short treks in Nepal. Treks below 3000m with can be done 3 days to one week are categorized as a short and easy hike in Nepal. There are several popular short treks which are listed below.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Trekking Days: 5

Trekking Region: Annapurna

Maximum Elevation: 3,210m

Best Time for Trek: September- May

Ghorepani Poon hill trip is the most popular short trek in the Annapurna region Nepal. There are a couple of hundred trekkers every day from around the world. This 5 days short trip offers the scenic mountain view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs with unblocking sunrise from Poon hill viewpoint. Gurung and Magar are the local inhabitants of this area. They are people who are known as brave Gurkhas. Fabulous landscape, green hills, rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, vegetation with the traditional culture of the area make your holiday worth visiting this trekking trail.

The Ghorepani Poon hill tour begins from Nayapul with a short drive from Pokhara. The main trail leads to a famous hill station (Poon hill) passing Hile, Tikhedhunga, Ulleri, and Banthanti then go to Tadapani and Ghandruk making a little circle reaching back Nayapul at the end.

Chisapani Nagarkot Trek

Trekking Days: 3-4

Trekking Region: Around Kathmandu Valley

Maximum Elevation: 2200m

Best Time for Trek: September-May

Chisapani Nagarkot hike is a beautiful short and easy exploring trip near Kathmandu valley. If you scare with high altitude and cold temperatures, this trek should be one of the best options. This trek offers a superb view of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Gaurishankar Himalayan range with amazing landscape and more.

The Chisapani Nagarkot is 3 days trek normally but it can be extended to 4 or 5 days adding an extra itinerary to Dhulikhel and Panauti. Chisapani Nagarkot trek begins from Kathmandu with about an hour's drive to Sundarijal and treks through Shivapuri Nagarjuna national park to Chisapani for the first night. After Chisapani hill, trek to Nagarkot hill station from where you can see unblocked sunrise with the scenic Himalayas. You pass several traditional villages on your trek which gives you a rural experience of Nepal. After Nagarkot, you may continue your trek to either Dhulikhel or Changunarayan heritage sites to finish the journey.

Dhampus Sarangkot Trek

Trekking Days: 3

Trekking Region: Annapurna

Maximum Elevation: 1650m

Best Time to Trek: September-May

Dhampus Sarangkot is a short and sweet walking trip in the Annapurna region. If you have only a week's holiday in Nepal and would like to visit Kathmandu, Pokhara and explore a few days in the mountain to see scenic massif and have a cultural experience, this trek should be perfect for you.

This 3 days tour starts from a beautiful lake city Pokhara driving about half an hour to Phedi. The trek leads to the Dhampus from where you see amazing Annapurna Himalaya with one of the most beautiful mountain Fishtail. Enjoying sunrise in the morning from Dhampus, you descend for a while and gradual ascent to Naudanda than trek on the level flat trail a few kilometers to Sarangkot hill station.

Next morning, you will have a great view of the sunrise with stunning Annapurna Himalayas, you trek downwards to Pokhara.

Tamang Heritage Trek

Trekking Days: 7

Trekking Region: Langtang

Maximum Elevation: 3165m

Best Time to Trek: September-May

The Tamang heritage is a one week trek from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. This trek is highly recommended to those people who would like to trek with less traffic. This is off the beaten track trekking trail in the Langtang region. Tamang heritage trek is a new trekking trail that offers a magnificent Langtang and Ganesh Himal Himalayan range with the traditional and cultural experience of Tamang people.

With a 6-7 hrs bus drive from Kathmandu, Syabrubesi reaches where you will spend your first night. The next day, you trek to Gatlang which is a big traditional Tamang village. Enjoying a warm welcome of Tamang people here, you trek to Tatopani the next day and trek to Nagthali hill station. Here you will see the beautiful landscape, Himalaya, and some Tibetan villages. You trek down to Thuman and Syabrubesi for your final day of the trek then drive back to Kathmandu.

Langtang Valley Trek

Trekking Days: 7

Trekking Region: Langtang

Maximum Elevation: 3870m

Best Time to Trek: September-May

Langtang valley is a popular trek in the Langtang region. This is also one of the best options for beginner trekkers, family, and all types of trekkers. This trek leads to very close to the mountain in a few days trek from Kathmandu. Langtang valley trek begins from Kathmandu with a long drive through the hillside road to Syabrubesi. After spending a night in Syabrubesi, you trek to Lama Hotel, Langtang, and Kyanjin Gompa then trek back the same way t Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu.

This is a cultural trek that goes through the Langtang river valley. The people from this region are quite similar to Tibetan. You will see several Buddhist monasteries and other monuments during the trek.

These are short and easy treks in Nepal which are famous and visiting by many trekkers every year. These different trekking trails offer different mountain experiences with a variety of cultural vibes to the visitors. Such as the Langtang region has Tamang culture and tradition, the Annapurna region has Gurung and Magar culture, and Chisapani Nagarkot has also Tamang and other ethnic cultural experiences with the mesmerizing landscape, Himalaya, green hills, and much more.
