Soon, driving tests in the UK will be changing - and many consider that change be for the better. To date, the practical driving test consists of many different aspects to test a persons ability to drive safely. The tests include manoeuvres, safety questions, self driving and more. However, come December, the test will be changing. The new test will include all of the following for each test; the independent driving sections will increase from 10 minutes to 20 minutes, pupils will be given the alternative to following driving instructions from a satnav - if the examiner decides to use the satnav during an exam, it will be one provided by them. Driving examiners will also start asking questions while driving. For example, "how do you clear the rear heater screen?" Many of these changes have been met with caution by some professionals who provide driving lessons in Slough. However, many of those that are looking to complete driving instructor training believe that the changes could be a good thing. driveJohnson's believe that these changes will teach pupils how to drive safely and not just learn how to pass for their tests.
