With high-end models coming in the market, washing machines have become the necessity of every household. From front loaders to top loaders, different styles are available. With so many models of high-end washing machines available in the market, how to find the one that suits your needs? Fortunately, we are here to help. In this article, we are going to talk about features to look for in a high-tech laundry machine. Energy Efficiency An energy efficient washing machine is appreciated for its ability to use less water and energy. Though, front load washing machines are more expensive than the top loaders, but they are around 40% more efficient in terms of water usage. This is why you should always look for washing machines with the Energy Star rating. A washing machine marked with the Energy Star logo uses one-third less water and energy compared to the regular ones. Quiet Operation You should also go for a washing machine that reduces vibration and unnecessary noise when it is in the spin cycle. This way, you would be able to place it even on the second floor of your home without worrying about vibrating motions. Also, with minimum vibration and with fewer parts in motion, the motor of a washing machine won’t wear out quickly. Built-in sink Loaded with high-end features, Samsung’s WA52J8700 model has its own sink. If your laundry room is not large enough to accommodate a standalone sink, but you like pre-treating tough stains, this advanced feature might work for you. Diamond Drum A drum is a crucial part of your washer, and it should be made from the most durable materials. If made of low-quality materials, it can rust after a few years and leave your clothes stained. To put an end to this concern, Samsung has pioneered the diamond drum feature. Some Samsung washing machine models are made using the diamond drum technology, which makes it last for a very long time, withstanding mold, mildew and even mineral accumulation. Fuzzy logic and Temperature Control The fuzzy logic feature in modern-day washing machines automatically chooses the best washing setting and detects the weight of the laundry. It also determines how much water, detergent and time is required to clean the load. The right temperature of washing is another important factor. Conventional laundry machines only have 3 to 4 water temperature options. But in many new machines, the right temperature to wash a particular type of fabric is automatically decided. An in-built heater can help adjust the temperature of water. This can be useful particularly in winter, as hot water washes laundry better. Some of the machines even have a steam setting, which means dirt and stains are treated well. Controls A laundry machine can have manual or electric controls. A washing machine with electric control is easier to operate and looks aesthetically pleasant. Other Features • 'Automatic Dispensers' release the bleach, detergent or fabric softener automatically during the wash cycle at an appropriate time. • 'Extra Rinse Cycle' rinses the laundry for an additional cycle and is helpful for people who are thin-skinned to detergent residue. • 'Air Dry' allows the drum to suck in air when it is rotating to facilitate a more effective and faster drying of clothes. A washing machine that is backed by most of these features is likely to meet your needs well.
