You will most likely find many items in the house and you will need enough time to decide whether you are going to keep or throw away what items. You can take time to enjoy packing in anticipation to the move but while at it, you must decide that you are going to get rid of any unnecessary items that will simply clutter your next apartment. You need to pack all your belongings safely for transportation; make sure that you wrap all fragile items leaving only minimum air pockets in each container; write the contents of every boxy as well as what room it will be going to in the new house.
