Pick something that is meaningful to the couple (Did they meet in their college library? Use books as centerpieces!). Be creative and convince them that guests will love their unique ideas. Guests As the objective outsider, you can be ruthless here. The quickest way to save money on a wedding is to slash the guest list. The couple is likely to be too worried about offending people to think about what they really want. Remind them that their third cousin or high school lab partner isn't going to feel slighted. After all, their day will be only more special if they share it with just the people that they are closest to.
