BERLIN, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Cologne sealed the first home victory of the season as Jajalo and Podolski wrapped the 2-0 victory whereas Bremen sealed a last second victory against Berlin thanks to the late winner by striker Claudio Pizzaro on Sunday. Cologne defeated Hoffenheim thanks to a well-positioned defence and terrific counter attacks. With 20 minutes into the match Cologne midfielder Mato Jajalo netted an assist by striker mate Lukas Podolski into open goal to give his side the lead. Hoffenheim pressed for the equalizer but all their hopes of a comeback where destroyed by striker Podolski who finished a counter attack at the 64th minute to seal the deal against Hoffenheim. At the other match on Sunday Bremen and Berlin staged an exciting match with many fouls and controversial referee decisions. Berlin striker Adrian Ramos shocked the host Bremen with the opener after great assistance of midfielder Raffael with only three minutes into the match. Twenty minutes later Bremen striker Claudio Pizzaro equalized the score when he utilized a long cross at the second post. At the 57th and 63rd minute referee Felix Brych sent off defender Christian Lell and striker Adrian Ramos as both players booked their second yellow card.
