Don’t take the process of installing a cork tile to be very complicated and different from others. Just make sure you don’t do anything outside the manual because it might end up giving something totally different. Before you permanently install your cork tile, it is advisable that you carry out a trial with low visibility to determine its suitability. It is from that you can be able to make a decision on whether to proceed with the actual installation or reconsider your options. When satisfied, take the bold step and begin the installation process. The whole process will begin with having the adhesive applied on the floor where the tiles will be laid. Handle the adhesive with a lot of care to avoid spilling out to unwanted sections of the floor which can leave very ugly marks. After application, leave it for around 30 minutes to one hour which is enough time to dry. Where you feel like the cork tile will not bond properly, add another coat of the adhesive as well as in cases where the cement seems porous. When placing the tile on the adhesive, the bottom part should be dusted otherwise it will not bond with the adhesive well. Dust is an inhibiting factor and should not be allowed to come in between. Debris can make the floor look uneven and should be cleared as well before the tiles are laid down. Make sure the tiles are placed as per the guidelines such that no gaps are left or the tiles are too much squeezed together.
