Woodworking is a craft and to have a perfect product you need to have perfect tools. Some of these tools might be available in home while others you will need to buy from the market. All these tools are sharp hence you need to take all the precautions while you work with them. If you have children at home, keep the woodworking tools in a safe place, by doing so you can avoid the major accidents. What are these tools? The woodworking tools are basically classified into two types • Hand tools • Power tools Both are required to work on a woodworking project. For beginners, it is necessary to know about all the hand tools as any project big or small will require it for construction purpose. The power tools are important, but with gradual increase in the skill you can use these tools. They are not absolutely necessary for small projects as they use power and are only needed to perform some big task. If you are a regular worker of the woodwork then you might need it but for a hobby then you do not require it. What are different types woodworking tools? A hand tool helps you to connect the wood at each level. They include Head claw hammer. This comes in various sizes and shapes but to avoid the burden 20 oz is preferred by most of the workers. Screw drivers are the most cheapest tool available in various sizes and are required in bulk the entire work will fall apart if they are not chosen properly, tape measurement is a must so as to make the right size of object, nail set required to set the head of the nails inside the wood, utility knife is used for cleaning hinge mortise and marking a piece of stock, chisels with handles are preferred more, sharpening stones especially water stones are used than oilstones, combination square needed to mark out stock at 45 and 90 degrees and levels needed to check whether the stack is perfectly horizontal or vertical. All these hand woodworking tools are basic and indispensible. A good quality tool is not very costly and can be available easily in the market.
