When you have managed IT services, it can help you to cut down on labor costs. Considering that you want to do everything possible to save money on your P&L, you need to understand how these services can save you money – and how you can take advantage of the services in order to begin saving as much money as you possibly can. You may have an IT department in order to provide services to your company. Some of the services that the IT department may be providing you include: - Web solutions - Email solutions - Server management If your IT department is not working for the full time on IT, what are they working on? In other words, are they working as hard as you think they are? Many companies are surprised to learn that it does not take a full 40 hours to manage network security. This means that your employees may be slacking off - and you’re the one paying for it all. When your IT department isn't doing their job, they are still being paid. You also have no kind of contract or guarantee in place to say that you are able to recover your data and that you won't experience downtime 99.9% of the time. This means that you may be overspending for your IT staff because they cannot provide you with the same promises that an IT company that offers managed IT services can offer you. There are a number of ways to save with a third party company. When you outsource your IT, you can eliminate most if not all of your IT department. This means you cut labor, benefits, and other miscellaneous expenses. When this is all added up, it can be a significant amount of money – and you have saved this on your P&L. As soon as you begin outsourcing your managed IT services, you can pay a flat price every month. This means that you don't have to pay overtime when an employee decided that they needed to overhaul the network in an effort to amp up security. And you don't have to worry about finding out about all of the other services that could benefit you because a company will sit down and make suggestions to you from the very beginning. All you have to do is determine what managed IT services you need and then let a company provide you with a quote. Not only can you cut down labor costs, but you may find that you can cut down in other areas, too. For example, you may be able to reduce your phone bill drastically by using VoIP services. The first step to saving money on your P&L is working with a third party IT company and reviewing what managed IT services they offer. From there, you can determine which ones you need and how you can reduce your IT department because of the services that you will be getting.
