It’s hard to know quite how to react to this club. The Titleist 913H Hybrid feels like it should be excellent. The design is nice, the feel solid. But the results are just too wildly inconsistent to be useful to a player like me. At first glance, its looks are very similar to last year’s model, but that goes to show that when it works, don’t try to fix it. The head design is a little wider, and the face seems to run square off the hosel with very little, if any, offset, which I loved. Performance came next, and it was very easy to strike, flight and shape the ball from all types of lie. 913H sounds, looks, and feels exactly like you’d expect. Blending attractive design, a low profile designed to inspire confidence, and a satisfying, responsive sound off the face. After getting under a few, however, I did find the low profile to be less confidence inspiring than I usually find that sort of design. Ballooning a few off the deck will do that for you, I suppose. "Golfers are always looking for more distance and control in their long game, but they also need versatility," said Steve Pelisek, General Manager, Titleist Golf Clubs. "The Titleist 913F Fairway Wood for sale and hybrids not only deliver better performance, they provide serious golfers with more options to dial-in their set composition to fit their long game strategy and the way they play the game." The classic pear-shaped head features a new sleeker version of Titleist's SureFit Tour hosel, which allows loft and lie to be adjusted independently. The centre of gravity position and offset differ slightly depending on loft to deliver distance and forgiveness through the range. More weight helps provide the optimum launch and reduced spin. "In combination with a new flat SureFit Tour weight, this allowed us to really move our CGs to new performance thresholds and obtain improved distance potential," Stone said. With the 913 fairways, engineers utilized a new casting and polishing process to produce an ultra-thin crown, with a lower, flatter sole profile similar to the new Titleist 913 D2 Driver. The 913 hybrids were refined with a sleeker, tour-inspired design. Wow! What a club this is. The 913H Hybrid does employ the same SureFit hosel technology as its 913 compatriots, allowing for maybe the easiest and most varied degree of customization you’ll find in modern clubs.
