The new RAZR line is set to replace the "X" line just as The Diablo Line replaced the Big Bertha line of clubs. Forgiveness is huge on these clubs. Callaway dumped a lot of money, a lot of research, and an extra dose of creativity into these in order to come up with a worthy successor. Read on and see why these clubs will be worth the wait for Callaway fans. As oversized irons go, the Callaway RAZR X irons were a nice size and the top line was confidence inspiring without being too thick. They were also very forgiving to hit with a lovely feel and sound and the uniflex steel shaft helped deliver a powerful strike. They look like the classic irons of the X series of the past but the offset seems more subtle and the styling a little sharper, so if you have the wherewithal, then this is a set to consider for mid handicappers. This reduces the distance lost on those toed miss hits. So in essence..it actually raises the average of an average golfer's distance off of each club by 4-7 yards. Don't get me wrong here though. If you smack one of these in the real sweet spot...and not just the safe hitting zone...you will see the real distance potential these clubs have. Besides the "toe-forgiveness factor" these Callaway RAZR Australia also have that fluted attachment to the rear of the cavity. That helps lower the center of gravity and add to the easy launch factor. The company then tailored a refined VFT face and high-definition undercut cavity to each individual iron. The result is more consistent ball speeds across the club face, increasing distance and accuracy even on mis-hits. In head-to-head tests, Razr X irons were 56 percent more accurate than traditional irons that chase distance at the cost of accuracy. Tighter shots. Shorter putts. Lower scores. The Razr X irons deliver uncompromised performance with every swing. The clubs look good, sound good and have added yards to my shots, dropped my handicap from 15 to 13 since switching. The clubs are very forgiving and I would not hesitate in recommending these clubs to mid-handicappers. Source from: http://www.pfagraphics.co.uk/article-441-Callaway-RAZR-X-irons-is-worthy.html
