Recently, Books & Review launched a new poll to see if some other new names could make the cut where Christian Grey was concerned. It looks like these new, fresh contenders might give the “classic” Christian Grey contenders a run for their money. In the poll, the newbie’s include Jensen Ackles, Noah Mills, Scott Speedman, Chris Brown and Paul Wesley, for the part of Christian Grey, the twitchy palmed CEO. Noah Mills might not have a household name when it comes to acting, but this Dolce & Gabbana model has taken part in a few small TV roles. His qualifications for Christian Grey come from his “abs and lips” which Noah Mills is best known for. Perhaps he might have the Christian Grey look, but can Noah Mills’s acting skills hold up to the part of Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of the The Movie Fifty Shades of Grey books. Supernatural star Jensen Ackles has been in the hit TV show since 2005 and is ready to move onto something bigger and better, and what better way to break onto the big screen than taking up the most coveted role in Hollywood – that of Christian Grey. Ackles has been cited as being a “marketing savvy pick” since he has such a huge fan following for Supernatural, and many of his fans are dying to see him in something steamier. The Examiner said he’s “successful, talented and confident,” which are all qualities an actor will need to portray Christian Grey. Another skill Jensen Ackles has is he’s a skilled musician, which would be handy for the scenes when Christian Grey plays the piano. Scott Speedman might be ten years too old for the part of Christian Grey, but he definitely has the physique and looks to pull off the part of the sexy dominant CEO. He also hails from London, E.L. James’s hometown, which might work in his favor, since we’ve seen EL James is looking for talent back home. This next candidate might make your eyebrows rise up at the very mention of the name for Christian Grey, but yes, Chris Brown was added to the mix, especially since Leona Lewis mentioned him as a choice for Christian Grey. “For Christian Grey it has to be someone really hot and super smooth. Why am I just thinking of Chris Brown… maybe Chris Brown!” said Leona in an interview. To be honest, we don’t really buy him for Christian Grey. Paul Wesley might be the best option on this list to play the part of Christian Grey. He not only works alongside Ian Somerhalder on the Vampire Diaries, but he beat his colleague on Glamour’s “Sexiest Men Alive” list, which definitely makes him a great candidate for Christian Grey. He has the brooding and dark look that makes him a good Christian Greychoice.
