Singapore often serves as a stopover during a number of flights passing over Asia. Besides, a number of cruises which organize a tour of a multiple countries halt for a brief stopover in this country. Therefore, tourists and backpackers who have a brief few hours to lap up whatever they can lay their hands to, really need to be on the top of their toes. Though there are a number of Singapore attractions worth exploring, if the stopover does not involve an overnight stay, then you must be careful enough to handpick only those attractions which won’t take much time. This way, you will be able to run through more number of Singapore attractions even in a few hours. For instance, Singapore Flyer is a recommended attraction since it is a 30-minute ride which won’t sap up much from your short itinerary. Besides, it is an amazing experience which will give you a new high (ya, literally). While Jurong Bird Park and Singapore Zoo are always on the top of a traveler's list, they are not suited for short stopovers since they can eat up your whole day. Target those places only if you have 2-3 days in hand. The Singapore Cable Car is another experience which you can try taking. It is a hit with tourists having a whirlwind trip. Also, if you love beaches, then do run over to the ones at Sentosa Island. Though, Singapore is not much famous for its beaches (which are, after all, not as good as the ones in some of its neighboring nations like Thailand), a beach buff may not be able to breathe in rest until he has stepped feet on the sands of these shores. The beaches won't consume much time and can be actually quite fun if you are looking for a leisurely sunbath or for some sporting actions. Botanical Gardens is also a lovely attraction and you can include it in your plans. But if you are not much into nature, then this place may not be for you. Then there is Little India, which is true to its name. It is an area which is dominated by the Indian Diaspora and is lined by small Indian shops and restaurants. You can do a bit of shopping there, simply stroll around or dig into authentic Indian cuisines. While a stopover may give you some memorable moments, it can actually leave you begging for more. So, the next time you are planning a holiday, do book your Singapore tour package for at least a week.
