Hiring a Mediator or Hiring a Lawyer with Donna Dackow

Law
When faced with a disagreement or a very pressing legal issue, it can be very difficult for an individual or a business to know where to turn. They may know they need the services of an attorney, but they aren't sure whether the cost of using one would be worth resolving the issue. Fortunately, many more people throughout the country are becoming aware of the various services a mediator can provide.

There are mediation firms throughout the country in cities large and small. Many people have heard of them, but they aren't exactly aware of the advantages that a mediation service has over the services of an attorney. Donna Dackow has been working in mediation since recently graduating from law school in Florida. She knows that a skilled mediator can provide a client great value in helping them resolve the legal and other issues that are troubling them. While acting as a mediator it is important to be an unbiased third party. Mediators do not give legal advice but allow the parties’ attorneys to do so.

Donna Dackow knows quite a few reasons why someone should choose a mediator over an attorney, and also why mediators are a good choice in general for many problems facing individuals and businesses.

High rate of success - Did you know that mediators overall have a success rate around 75% effectiveness? Donna Dackow knows that's a pretty great rate considering the money you save from going through the court system represented!

Cheaper - Hiring a mediation service or a mediator helps you avoid the extremely high hourly rates of attorneys. Plus, mediation takes far fewer hours to complete and come to an agreeable conclusion, usually an average of four hours! Every mediator charges differently, but you can rest assured it's generally much less expensive than litigating a case in court, advises Donna Dackow.

More Control - Using a mediator doesn't mean you are locked into an agreement that attorneys or a judge have put on both parties, says Donna Dackow. Mediators help two parties communicate and come to agreements. Each party can negotiate what is important to them and be vested in the outcome of the dispute.

Informal - One of the best parts about working with mediators is the fact that the situation is a lot less formal than using the court system to reach a conclusion. In informal situations, people are more likely to come to an agreement and this helps many clients reach a great deal that benefits both parties, reminds Donna Dackow. It gives people the opportunity to think outside of the box and be creative in their problem solving.

These are just four of many examples as to why a mediator could be the better choice for you or your business when it comes to resolving issues with another business or client. There are plenty more out there, which are only an internet search away.
