Beijing China was the place where American fashion shows were conducted last Friday night. The show was held at Dongbian Gate – one of the few remaining and well-preserved piece of the fortified city walls that protected Beijing and the Forbidden Palace during imperial rule. Today, the gate and tower are considered home to one of Beijing’s best modern galleries the Red Gate Gallery. Red gate gallery was founded by Brian Wallace, an Australian traveler who remain to work and study at the Foreign Languages Press and study the Chinese art history at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. The Red Gate Gallery is known as the first private contemporary art gallery in Beijing. In this chinese clothing fashion show, different kinds of brand attended like Rag & Bone having British tailoring techniques and sold in more than 700 doors around the world, Marchesa who is very popular around the world because it has worn by many Hollywood celebrity icon on the red carpet, and Proenza Schouler – one of New York’s best womenswear and accessories. In this affair, American Designer want to show their collections in China were the finalist are all previous member of American Council of Fashion Designer (CFDA) Vogue Fashion Fund and were facilitated by Anna Wintour, the chief editor of American Vogue. The CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund was established to facilitate emerging American design talent find continued success in the business of fashion and provides prizes of up to $300,000 for each year’s winner to use for their production, public relations, sales, and marketing. The American people in China fashion show are part of the ongoing efforts to introduce American designers to the China market. Designers from both Rag & Bone and Marchesa are fascinatingly from British and now centred in New York City. This fashion show event has a lot of activities done. This classy event was attended by many popular Chinese and American fashion industry influencers including Silas and Veronica Chou from Novel Holdings, Angelica Cheung – Vogue China Chief Editor, Steven Kolb – CFDA CEO, David Tang – Shanghai Tang Founder, Chinese actress Carina Lau and a lot more. One who supports the American designer in China is Silas Chou and Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Silas Chou is one of the most well-known Chinese operating businesses in the international fashion clothing business today and has played major roles in the achievement of Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors and Iconix group brands. She started her fabric profession in Hong Kong which is one of their family businesses. Since its launch in 2004, the program has fixed $3.3 million to 27 design companies including Prabul Gurung, 3.1 Philip Lim, Rodarte and Thom Browne. Winners also receive tailored mentorship from fashion industry experts such a Mickey Drexler, Mark Lee and Domenico de Sole.
