Distance control, a key to consistent iron play, was a priority in the PING i20 irons’ design launched as part of the new PING i20 products.
The long irons are slightly larger, high launching, and more forgiving. The smaller short irons feature less offset and provide exceptional control. Stabilising bars and a thicker face ensure precise distance control and a solid feel. Tungsten toe weights in the 17-4 stainless steel heads elevate forgiveness.
Combined with PING’s new CFS (Control, Feel, Stability) steel shaft, the i20 optimises feel and trajectories. An innovative design gives golfers full command of the clubface for controlling trajectory and shot shape. A low-glare satin chrome finish and ferrule offer a clean, high-performance look.
Each of the i20 irons comes with what Schweigert calls “foggy chrome” finish and ferrule for a cleaner, more high-performance look. While they will sit in the Ping line between the Ping G25 irons for sale and G20 models, they’re designed to appeal to golfers of all abilities.

Ping has given its i20 irons a low-glare satin chrome finish as well as a traditional ferrule to create a classic look.
The makers say these multi-metal irons are a progressive design, which means the long irons that are slightly larger, high launching and more forgiving. The short irons are smaller and feature less offset to provide exceptional control.
Consistent distance control, says PING’s chairman John Solheim, was a priority in the golf clubs for sale design, to help custom-fitting and optimise performance. “Stabilising bars and a thicker face deliver great feel and ensure that golfers can hit to precise yardages,” says Solheim. “Distance control is an absolute must for better players, but precision is going to help anyone lower their scores.”
The i20s are available from 3- to 9-iron and also in PW, UW, SW and LW. The stock steel shaft is the Ping CFS, in four flexes, and the one in graphite is the TFC 169i, also available in four flexes. There are two stock shafts available in the new Ping i20 design - a Ping CFS steel shaft and a graphite TFC 169i option.
