Titleist's latest fairway wood showcases the same adjustable technology found in its 910D series drivers. The "SureFit Tour" hosel with "dual angle technology" enables you to adjust loft and lie independently of each other, so you can alter loft without affecting lie, or vice versa. It's so simple to custom-fit this club to your desired trajectory (high, medium or low), spin rate, and shot shape (fade or draw). Titleist also offers the low-spin cheap 910 Fd Fairway Wood (13.5° or 15° loft), which is geared for tee shots and produces a penetrating flight. The club testers said the Titleist 901F fairway wood produced a boring trajectory that produces more run-out than other fairway woods, and praised its "acute accuracy on good swings." Unlike the cheap 913 d3 driver you can’t put a 913F head on a 910F shaft as the hosel fitting is not only shorter but also 0.4mm narrower. Having a smaller hosel also enables more weight to be moved around the head now to make it more forgiving and the slightly larger head and face have made the 913F much more forgiving than previous models. This is a really important change as we felt the 910F was still maybe a little on the compact side for anyone other than very low handicappers. Now with the slightly increased size, the 157cc head and a larger, faster sweetspot it is now much more forgiving and playable for more single figure handicappers. Additionally, I found the larger head to be more forgiving than the standard and thus gave me more confidence. Indeed, both dispersion and distance were extremely consistent - long but not too long to close down the gap between my driver. Expensive but worth it if you can afford - if it was more accessible price-wise this would be comfortably the best on the market for me. If you have a 910F you can expect to gain an extra 1 mph ball speed combined with 250 rpm less spin using the Titleist 913F fairway wood and that should gain you around 6 yards, which is significant.
