Audio and Podcasts - Drive Traffic To Any Website Audio clips and Podcasts are a really simple, inexpensive method of driving traffic to your website. All you have to do is create an audio file and submit it to the search engines. You don?t need to be a techie. This is easy. If you can plug a microphone into your computer and have a basic audio editing. Look for audio editing shareware in Google. You can submit unlimited audio clips or podcasts to the search engines. Most people like audio messages. They can download them to their mp3 players and listen to them as they exercise or drive. Don?t worry if you feel you have nothing to talk about. What do you enjoy? What is your website about? What do you know about? Do you ever talk to friends or colleagues about things that interest you both? Have you ever asked someone else for information about any topic? All these conversations can be recorded ,with the other person?s permission, obviously. One thing that will really help you organize your content is to first write an outline of what you want to say or ask. You may even want to totally script it. You may need to re-record your clip several time to be sure it is what you want. Don?t worry about perfection. It?ll never happen. Maybe you can?t be near your computer when you are speaking to someone you?d like to record. That?s easy, also. Many mp3 players also have a record function. Or you can purchase a relatively inexpensive digital voice recorder. Perhaps your cell phone has a memo or voice message area for quick clips. These can be downloaded to your computer and edited for publication. They do not need to be long, only about 3-5 minutes at most. The nice thing about audio is that, with voice recognition software (standard on most pc?s). You can convert it to a written article for submission to search engines. There are two issues you may run into. The first is duplicate content. But search engines don?t often pick up on that because of the differing formats. Occasionally they will pick up on it, so you may want to change them slightly, something that usually happens when we read or edit what we hear anyway. The second issue is that of search engine submission. Article submission sites may not submit audio, and vice-versa. You will have to go to at least two submission sites or submit them to all the search engines manually. That will take about 10 hours the first time for format, for about 20 or so hours. There is a solution to the amount of time it takes for individual or manual submissions. You may want to look at an automated solution. There is a push button submission software that will submit all four formats. A keyword search of push button submission will find it for you.
