The holy town of Haridwar, also known as, as 'Gateway to Gods' is also known as Mayapuri, Kapila, Gangadwar etc. Located on the financial institutions of holy stream Ganges in the condition of Uttaranchal. Famous master Bhagirath is said to have introduced the stream Ganga from paradise to world to be able to offer solution to his forefathers. It is also said that Haridwar has been sanctified by the use of three Gods- Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Lakhs of Hindu enthusiasts check out Haridwar every season to have a holy dip in the stream Ganges. Tourist Attractions Haridwar is best known for it's ghats and various wats or temples devoted to different Gods and Actresses. The most well known Ghat is 'Har ki Pauri' where countless numbers take a holy dip in the Ganges and 'Aarti' is conducted everyday with excellent excitement at 7pm. A large number of diyas flow in the stream creating it a fantastic website value viewing. Some of the well known wats or temples here are Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi, Daksha Maharaj, She devi etc. There are many ashrams performing Yoga exercises programs. The Kumbh and ardh Kumbh Mela at Haridwar draws large crowd every 12 & 6 decades respectively. Other locations of interest Har-Ki-Pauri, Mansa Devi Forehead, Bhimgoda, Pawan Dham, Mayadevi temple, Chandi Devi, Daksha Prajapati temple, Bharat Mata temple, Shanti Kunj, Ashrams, Yoga exercises Facilities, Rajaji Nationwide Recreation area, Chila. Rishikesh, another holy town is just 20 km away. Rishikesh is also known for River River rafting on the Ganges. Chilla Crazy Lifestyle Haven is just 10 km from Haridwar and one can take a Forest Opera to Chilla WLS to have a jungle encounter and have a look at the creatures, especially wild monsters.
