When you are shaving, you do not want to rush the process and get razor burn from shaving improperly. There are specific tips and techniques that you can follow to get the best shave possible. You want to make sure that you use the correct razor and know which way to shave before beginning. There are things you can do to prepare your skin for the process and keep your body as healthy as possible. Mastering the art of shaving is very important when trying to keep your skin fresh and clean. Tips and Techniques Before you start shaving, you must wet your skin by either showering or putting a damp towel to your face. This moisture will soften the hairs and separate them to make the shave easier and less damaging to your skin. Then you must put a shaving cream all over the area you intend to shave to moisten the skin more and provide protection from the blade. Next, you should shave in the direction of your hair growth and do it as softly as you can. You want your skin to remain smooth, and if you push too hard you will damage the top layer of your skin. Keep the area wet throughout the entire process and keep your skin lathered with soap entirely. After you finish, you should put a cream on and lotion up the entire area to keep your skin moisturized. Be sure to pick a razor that does not irritate your skin and trade razors every few days to prevent the blades from getting dull. No matter what area of your body you are shaving, you must do it carefully and take your time. Mastering the art of shaving is very important and you must keep all techniques in mind throughout the shaving process.
