Established in the year 2006, the Department of Mechanical Engineering started functioning. The main motto behind establishing this department was to impart the highest level of education to the students. With a 100 % growth, its current intake stands at 120 students as compared to 60 students initially. The department has one of the best state of the art labs and has highly qualified and experienced faculty members who have a flair for better teaching as well as research only at top ten engineering colleges in chennai. The mission of this Department is to provide the highest level of quality education to its students and also them to communicate in a professional manner. The foundation of the Department of Biomedical Engineering lies in the year 2007. This department was sanctioned a limit of 60 students initially and was established to impart high level of quality education along with excellence in communication to its students. The department wants to bring out the best of technical engineers out of its students and therefore is highly focussed on each of its students. This equips the students to bring out the best in them and serve the country and the society in a constructive manner. To facilitate the students, the Department has ensured that all the latest lab facilities and the teaching aids are there along with well equipped library and committed faculty with a global repute. The Department is well known for its well functioned lab backed by efficient faculty a blend of which helps in improving the knowledge base of the students. Many technical symposiums and Guest Lecturers have been organized for the benefit of its students. Al the teaching and the research activities are well supported by a well qualified and subject experts' team of the Director, Professor, Assistant Professors and Lecturers.
