Shiv Sena, a Hindu nationalist political organization, does not need any introduction as it always remains in news for some reason time and again. Being founded by political cartoonist Balasaheb Thackeray in 1996, Shiv Sena is currently being headed by Thackeray's son, Uddhav Thackeray. Recently DNA, the English language daily, reported that Uddhav Thackeray has urged NCP supremo Sharad Pawar to resign from the Union cabinet and come to the state to protect the interest of farmers reeling under drought. Moreover, in an another blow to NCP chief, Shiv Sena chief also asked Pawar’s comment on the issue of the controversial remarks made by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on drought and load. Although, both state parties have differences but an unspoken understanding exists between Thackeray and Pawar and the two parties would never stepped onto one another’s toes.
