Different Kinds of Coffee and Their Beverages

Online Shopping
One of the most commonly drunk beverages is coffee. Derived from coffea shrub, the coffee beans are small cherry-like fruits that mature within seven to nine months. The coffee berry contains two flat seeds. The most commercially important species is coffee Arabica (Arabicas) and coffee canephora (Robustus). The shrubs grow up to ten metres in height and robusta seeds are smaller than the Arabica. The average temperatures for the growth of Arabica are 15 to 24 degrees centigrade and while the Robusta variety can flourish in the harsher climate.

Most of the baristas serve exotic coffee beverages. Some of these are bought online for their unavailability in that region. Before purchasing the beans for brewing the perfect coffee, the buyers visit different price comparison sites of UK, to understand the valuation offered by the different suppliers of the market. Since, coffee beans are harvested only in special localities, comparing the prices of different market vendor help in attaining the best supply at affordable rates.

The coffee beans are grown in mountainous regions and the cherries are often picked by hand. However, in Brazil, the relative flat landscape and huge coffee fields enables the use of machines. They are harvested in one of the following two ways. Either by strip picking, where the cherries are stripped off a branch, or they are selectively picked with hand. The coffee that we drink commercially is made from the roast and ground coffee. The other different methods are described below:

The first is the filter or drip coffee. This is made by putting the coffee powder in paper or reusable cone shaped unit. Boiling water is added and the brew then filters onto a mug. This is then ready for consumption. The grounds remain in the filter. This type of coffee is done with the help of electric filter coffee machines. The second type, the plunger is made from the coarsely ground coffee. This is placed in hot water. The brew is stirred and left to stand for three to five minutes. The plunger is then pressed to separate the coffee grounds from the coffee infusion. The espresso machines forces the hot water through the finely ground coffee and compacted coffee. This imparts distinct aroma and flavour. The coffee is also layered with a layer of cream. The next type is the Swedish or the Scandinavian coffee that is most famous in Sweden and other Nordic regions. This is made from boiling ground coffee in water without filtering the liquid. It is stronger and coffee is kept piping hot for consumption. The Turkish coffee is made in an ibriq. This is a small copper pot with a long handle. In it two teaspoons of finely ground coffee is added. Along with it, one teaspoon of sugar is added to water and brought to boil. The ibriq is then taken off the heat and then rested. This process is done three times and then it is poured and drunk. Sometimes a cardamom seed is added.

Most of the exotic cafes and baristas serve this coffee. However, they need to buy in bulk and ensure that the coffee beans retain their original flavour and test. To ensure that they find the best deal, they go through various price comparison websites. This provides them the feedback of the vendors and market price and facilitates in grabbing the best deal. Today, coffee is not regarded as the drink of the average; it is a drink that is personalised to suit one’s taste.

Author Bio: Most restaurants serve coffee as part of their beverage. However, some of them have to buy them online to address their bulk order. Seeking the guidance of price comparison websites, these restaurateurs can grab the best deal. Steven Brown thinks that to be able to serve the perfect brew, the coffee beans should be exotic.
