Thursday, 31 May 2012 On May 29, Cunard Line and The TransAtlantic Bridge, a non-profitorganization dedicated to promoting the transatlantic relationshipbetween the United States and United Kingdom, hosted guests aboardflagship Queen Mary 2 in New York for a lecture given by celebratedauthor Barry Singer on his newly published book, Churchill Style:The Art of Being Winston Churchill. Guests received a warm welcome from the master of Queen Mary 2,Captain Kevin Oprey, who then introduced Amanda Bowman, presidentof The TransAtlantic Bridge. Edwina Sandys, the granddaughter ofSir Winston Churchill, also attended and spoke to the group, andwas followed by Singer s presentation. Singer s new biography details Churchill s private life andextravagant style outside the world of politics, featuring scoresof never-before-published photographs, illustrations and documentsfrom the Churchill family archives.
