The Foreign Ministers of the European Union , meeting in BrusselsMonday, May 14, were divided about a possible boycott meetings ofthe Euro 2012 to be conducted in Ukraine . The tournament will runfrom June 8 to July 1, with an opening in Poland and a fence inUkraine . The bloc seeking a common position because, inter alia,the fate of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko Yulia Tymoshenko , President Viktor Yanukovych at the opponent and sentenced toseven years in prison for a gas contract signed with Russia . The Poland , co-organizer of Euro 2012, opposes a boycott of thetournament, unlike the Germany , whose Chancellor has recentlycalled "dictatorship" regime in Kiev. Berlin has not yetconfirmed it would send no official policy for the first meeting ofthe Mannschaft, June 9, in Lvov. The Netherlands , however, willnot send any official for the first game of their team, in Kharkov,on the same date. The Belgium should also boycott the Ukraine, butthe Red Devils team is not participating in the tournament.Luxembourg states, through the voice of Minister Jean Asselborn Jean Asselborn , a boycott is the responsibility of UEFA. The France was notrepresented at ministerial level on Monday. The head of Britishdiplomacy, William Hague William Hague , said he had not "personally" intends to make inUkraine. The Italian is undecided. The Sweden considers that thereare instruments "clearly stronger" than soccer to punisha country, in this case, an association agreement with a commercialcomponent and which is not yet signed by the Union .
