HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and BHRT (bio-identical hormone replacement therapy)are two totally different methods of treating Menopause and Andropause. HRT are synthetic drugs, chemically derived and synthesized in a laboratory, with hormone like effects produced by the pharmaceutical industry, such as Premarin and Prempro, and considered the traditional SOC (standard of care). BHRT are created from natural sources of plant hormones which match the chemical structure of hormones produced by the human body (biologically identical).
