Starting Out In Video If you are making a web video, chances are you have no serious credentials to rely on (unless you are a pro at videographing). The good news is that making a web video is actually done by people who have very little experience crafting the video. You don’t have to specialize in a college major on art and film to make your own web video. Professional filmmakers actually have their credibility to justify and must not make mistakes that will turn people away. You, on the other hand, can afford to make mistakes and will be applauded for good work since you are new at it. Making a web video is nothing at all like creating a motion picture! Simply master some very simple techniques and your video will be ready to roll. Video Opener Remember a few tips when making a web video to present viewers the perfect outcome. For instance, how you present your video is actually how you will prompt a response. How it’s delivered will determine how your video is received. Even if you have the answer to world peace, viewers won’t be watching it if you are not correctly delivering a message within the first five seconds. Remember that everything viewed through a web video is fairly small, as well, so make your objects large. Video Quality Those who are completely new to filming non-web videos may have a bit of a task before them. Learn how to create illustrations to your message that are actually larger-than-life for the best viewer response. Video is viewed in 640 x 480 pixels online through media sites like Youtube, MetaCafe, DailyMotion and many more. Let your media be seen without craning your viewer’s necks and causing eyestrain. Filming Top Tips It’s important to also stay away from certain ingredients that can make or break your web video. While you are preparing your web video, don’t use extreme types of movements for your camera or various colors and patterns. You should also stay away as much as possible from highly detailed patterns like stripes or various lines. These colours and patterns will turn out highly pixilated and look very unattractive in the final results. Don’t move the camera around too much, as well. If your viewers have slow internet connection speeds, you will cause them an unpleasant experience if the camera constantly moves. It will skip speeds on slow connections and cause frustration. Make sure when you film a person they don’t move jerkily or too much. Keep the shots lucid and smooth flowing. Filming Lighting Tips To make your video polished and professional, stay away from extremely high contrast lighting and bright lights. Lights of this caliber will come across as mere blurs of lighting and ruin your quality. You should consider buying a tripod to maintain your good lighting and steady your scenes. Camera Focus Tips The last tip to remember is to always keep your camera in focus. Don’t rely on the auto-focus capabilities of your camcorder. Some cameras do allow you to manually focus, and if you’re shopping for a camera for your scenes, it’s a good idea to look for this feature. This will allow you better control as well as easier handling during your video scenes.
