One of the key things that you offer that should distinguish you from your competition should be legendary quality and customer service. If you're not positive yours beats out other companies, than you're probably losing business, because your prospects don't see you as having the best service, either.

Everyone seems to think that the key to making the most money is to cut your costs as much as possible. 1. Plan Your Design In Advance
Of course you probably plan the design in advance - everyone does. But here's what we're talking about. Besides drawing out the design and rendering it via the computer, take the time to think through what steps need to happen to make it happen. Are there changes of color or different directions an area of stitching needs to go for best results? Plan this sequence carefully and go through it a few times to make sure it's correct.

2. Touch The Machine Last
Don't even think about touching the machine before you've thoroughly planned out the design. This may sound like a repeat of the last step - but if you're embroidering on a cap before you've done this, chances are you've just wasted money and time - something you probably don't have enough of already.

3. Use The Zoom Feature Sparingly
The zoom feature is great for checking your design details, but don't use it so much that you create a design that looks great on the computer - but it's too detailed for a machine to embroider on your hat's surface!
