Marylebone: A foodie's place to dine and drink

Food & Beverages
Marylebone, the home to the Britain’s most intelligent crime detective Sherlock Holmes is much more than a shopping destination for shopaholics around the world. The place is locally known as the paradise of food lovers, thanks to the great many count of restaurants mushroomed over years. The city, already carrying the repute of being remarkably wealthy has now a cluster of delicious food-serving restaurants along the Oxford Street. Marylebone London houses some of the best restaurants of Britain that doles out best-quality, succulent dishes prepared by experienced chefs from all over the world.

Right from chopsticks to seafood, continental to Chinese, the Marylebone London bistros have them all to target the international market. First thing about these restaurants that one would notice is their ambience and service. In order to keep the appeal global, work of steel and glass, wood and timber, sophisticated lightings, expensive paintings, etc, have been used to make the decoration elegant and attractive to all. Smooth surfaces, polished panels, steel cases, shiny wood, white tiles, floating lights, etc, make the face and inside of the Marylebone restaurants. Moreover, they do not have the routine presentation of communal tables, but is refurbished to add a wafting touch of innovation.

Talking about food, the Marylebone restaurants are either multi cuisines or they specialise in a particular type. Staring with Thai, food lovers can try a plethora of dishes like prawn pomelo, calamares, yellow bean and morning glory, grilled aubergine, stir-fried cod fillets, etc. Apart from the main course dishes, you can also try coconut cookies, toasted coconut, jasmine smoothies, etc. Restaurants that suit the taste buds of ladies in particular serve fries of different kinds like fried fish fillet, French fries, chops, haddock, etc. However, you can expect anything from the shrimp variety, viz., prawns, lobsters, tuna, salmon, etc. The Marylebone London restaurants no longer make use of vintage fryers as the fires made in them get soggy and dry.

To keep the fries crunchy outside with the insides fleshy, they make use of refined oil and modern frying machines. They serve the fries with tasty dips like tartar sauce, garlic sauce, oyster sauce, cheese fritters, etc. To balance the meals, they also offer mashed green peas and boiled vegetables, green salad, etc. Most of the Marylebone London restaurants offer mouth-watering desserts like bread and butter pudding, fruit custards, porridge, etc.

Wine tasters will also find the place a paradise because of the number of bar counters open 24/7 around the place. You’ll have to stretch your stomach if you want to try out the different varieties of wine and drinks served at these counters. There are multiple places where you can try out foods and drinks in Marylebone. If you are the experimental kind, try different dishes each time from a different restaurant to satiate your taste buds. Savour the food while you try out new ones everyday while vacationing in the city. Are you a planning to visit Marylebone this year for a short vacation?
