Having been involved in an accident, you may find your day to day routine becomes more difficult or even daunting. If you have been involved in a road accident, accident at work or subject to a criminal offence leading to injury you may find yourself both physically and emotionally unable to go about your daily life. This is particularly distressing when your injuries are so significant that they are preventing you from attending work. Although we may not realize it, work and our transit to and from work accounts for at least 40 - 50 hours of the average persons week. With sleep accounting a further 56 hours (average of 8 hours per day) there is very little time to just lye about; that is until we have no choice. Unfortuately accident injuries often lead to circumstances whereby we are housebound. As such our usually hectic schedule comes to a stop, as does our income. Thus accidents can be quite a costly occurance in our lives. We no longer receive weekly/ mothly payments from our employer, yet we are faced with all these medical expenses, from hospital and doctor bills, to medication costs. However, if you are involved in an accident at work, a road accident or criminal injury offense due to no fault of your own, you are entitled may be entitled to compensation. In making a personal injury claim you must firstly consider the following: • Was there and witnesses and is there the posability of obtaining a witness statement. • Ambulance/ hospital attendance documentation. • Photographs of the accident site if possible and some photographs of your injuries. • Previous cases ( similar cases to your own at work, or in the location of your car accident) • Access to a medical report. Should you approach any personal injury lawyer regarding the pursuit of a personal injury claim, it is likely that these items will be at the top of the list of things they need from you to perceed, alongside a personal statement of the events leading to your injuries and proof of earnings, for the redemption of any financial losses. When pursuing a personal injury claim be sure to do your research, or seek some assistance in doing so if you are unable. You should review not only similar cases to your own but also successful laywers in the personal injury compensation field. If you have significant personal injurys always choose a soliciting firm close by so that you can arrange meetings once you are feeling a little better. It is crucial to meet your representitve prior to your case date to ensure you are in agreement of your requirements and proceedings.
