Seniors living in the sunny state of Florida, are in for a treat this April and May. This is because the City of Palm Beach Gardens is offering these seniors “Golden Mornings” wellness classes and a host of other classes. The “Golden Mornings” classes will be conducted on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.30 am to 11.30 am at the Burns Road Recreation Center. These sessions started as early as March and may go on till 10th of May. Palm Beach Garden residents pay just $15 for these classes while non-residents pay $20. This program is planned to keep active seniors on the go, for 60 minutes at a time, with fun activities that will improve social, physical and mental wellbeing. Interested participants should call (561) 630-1100 for more information. “This is an excellent method for active seniors to stay fit and healthy” commented Lisa LaCount of AAL. “These classes provide seniors a sense of belonging and keep them more active and invigorated”. Seniors can also join the Lunchtime “boot camp” style classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12 noon at the same venue. These classes will go on till the 3rd of May. Once again, residents of Palm Beach Gardens are charged only $5 while non-residents are charged $8. These classes are conducted by a licensed and insured trainer, and the one hour program includes a variety of fat burning workouts that assist in keeping the heart healthy with a good cardiovascular workout and is aimed at increasing flexibility and strength.“This is a class that many on-the-moveseniorsshould consider” commented Lisa. “This class is sure to make them feel young and energized and able to handle the days and weeks ahead with vigor and vitality”. Water aerobics is another event lined up for people with varying fitness levels. This is a low impact, intense workout that improves muscle tone and cardiovascular strength. Classes are conducted on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Aquatic Complex. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, classes will be held from 9 am to 10 am while Tuesday classes will be from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
