A huge crowd is required to make any event successful. However, the larger the crowd gets the more difficult it becomes to manage the crowd and make any event successful. Since people are more likely to go frenzy during such events, it is even more necessary to have proper crowd controller equipments at place. Apart from managing crowds at a public event in order to stop the stampede, these crowd control equipment can also be used as a barricade against people at places like museums, display rooms, etc. to direct the public in right direction as well as to prevent the undesired property loss. Stanchions are good crowd controller equipment which can solve the purpose of both avoiding the stampede during the event and also prove as a good instrument which prevents property loss. These stanchions come in variety of forms - from the simple stanchions crowd control equipment like the poles and the ropes, to the retractable belts. The following is the list of various types of stanchions which can be used for effective crowd management purposes: 1) Ropes & Poles: These are amongst the traditional and the commonly used equipments. These cheaply available sanctions could be easily spotted by any lay person during any large gathering. They are also easily available in shops. 2) Retractable Belt Stanchions: These prove a variation to the ropes and poles and are used to restrict access to the specified areas and direct the visitors towards a specific location or path. Think of are tractable belt sanctions at the entrance of the billing counter of a mall shop when there is a large queue to be kept under control! 3) Wall Mounted Belts: Wall mounted belts are belts which can be used all by themselves or can be combined with other posts to act as barricades for aisles as well as for supermarket checkouts. The use of wall mounted belts as barricade all by itself can reduce the cost of keeping security personnel to do the same job! 4) Outdoor Utility Stanchions: The design and the material are made for the outdoor utility stanchions so that they can sustain the weather conditions and be of effective use and purpose. These outdoor utility posts prove to be useful solutions for various different events which include outdoor enterprise events, recreation parks, construction works, and School yard activities amongst others. 5) Stainless Steel Fence Post: The stainless steel fence post is another material which can be used to create boundaries for crowd management and threshold. They are also used to block access, prevent theft and trespassing. They are also used in zoos to avoid animals from wandering away. These fence post are not only available in stainless steel but in other materials like wood.
