Surrogacy today has become quite common in India though it was not so popular before as it was in other countries, today the scenario has completely changed. This sudden change took place as science advanced and made impossible things possible. Surrogacy is a process which many couple opt for when they are in need of a child and are not able to produce one from their own. The surrogacy option has indeed been useful for many women as it has fulfilled their wish of becoming a mother though the child does not come from her own womb. The surrogacy method helps a women bring a baby of her own not from her own womb but from a surrogate’s womb. Surrogacy proves to be one of the best treatments for delivering baby and hence it is preferred by most of the couples today. Among all treatments the IVF surrogacy treatment proves to be a very good solution as compared to other treatments. The surrogate mother inserts a fertilized embryo inside her womb and then eventually she carries the baby for the rest of 9 months. This process is actually termed to be partial surrogacy where the eggs of the mother and the sperms of father are combines together to form a readymade embryo which is then fixed inside the womb of the surrogate mother. Full surrogacy means the use of intrauterine insemination where the IVF ensures that the sperms and eggs of the father and mother are combines to form an embryo so that the baby gets the genes of the father and mother and not that of the surrogate mother. The main role of the surrogate mother is to carry the baby and deliver it and apart from that nothing else. But, surrogate mothers indeed do a great job of delivering a baby for a couple and hence it is the duty of the couple to take care of the surrogate mother so that there is no harm caused to her and the baby during the period of pregnancy. One must do proper research before choosing a surrogate mother because she has to be very much reliable. Surrogate mother should be firm in their decision and must know about the consequences. Though one cannot predict how successful surrogacy can be, many couples have indeed got good results out of it. During the process of pregnancy the couple must look after all the aspects as that is very important. Apart from surrogate mothers there are egg donors who donate eggs which are then inserted inside the uterus of a woman. Hence egg donation too can be a good process along with surrogacy for the delivery of a healthy baby. Thus surrogacy in India too has gained good popularity like in the other foreign countries and today it indeed proves to be a very promising treatment which has become successful in giving happiness to the many couples who have been unsuccessful in producing a baby out of their own due to some problems.
