If you are trying to conceive for a long time but unable; don’t worry this infertility scenario is much common now. This can be overcome by following some changes in lifestyle. Not only women, men also responsible for this. Men should follow some eating guidelines because what you eat is going to affect your fertility. Making changes could possibly push your sperm health to much better level.

Below is a list of foods which you should add to your daily menu list.

Add Some Antioxidants:

Get plenty of fruits and vegetable which are rich sources of antioxidants. Antioxidants help protect sperm from cellular damage and keep them strong and speedy. Ideally sperm need to travel faster through the Fallopian tubes and fertilize the egg. Antioxidant helps to complete this process; increase your chances of getting pregnant.

You can try to include foods which are rich source of vitamin C, vitamin E, folic acid, lycopene, zinc, selenium. Some of resources are as below

  • Vitamin E: nuts, seeds, oils, and leafy greens.
  • Vitamin C: red peppers, kiwi, oranges, and grapefruit.
  • Folic Acid: leafy green vegetables, fruits, beans, and peas
  • Lycopene: tomatoes, apricots, pink grapefruit, and watermelon.
Eat oysters:

Seafood especially oysters are a great source of zinc. Zinc helps to increase production of sperm. Oyster is also known as an aphrodisiac food. If you don’t like to eat seafood other sources are beef, poultry, dairy, nuts, eggs, whole grains, and beans.

Drink Pomegranate juice:

Pomegranate juice is also a powerful source to increase sperm count and make them healthier. It also helps to decrease the blood levels of malondialdehyde, which affects sperm production.

Garlic:

Garlic is rich source of sele­nium and vit­a­min B6. Sele­nium is powerful antioxidants prevents sperm dam­age; vit­a­min B6 helps to fortify the immune system, regulate hormones and boost your sexual virility.

Tomatoes:

Tomatoes are a great source of carotenoid lycopene, which increase the sperm count and motility. Along with antioxidant property helps to maintain healthy sperm. Other rich sources of lycopene are watermelon, pink grapefruit, tomato juice, tomato sauce and ketchup.

Pumpkin Seeds:

Pumpkin Seeds are another rich source of zinc. Zinc helps to increase testosterone levels and sperm count. Pumpkin also contains omega-3 fatty acids, which regulates blood flow to sexual organs and enhance sexual function.

Banana:

Banana is a rich source of magnesium, vitamin B1, vitamin A, vitamin C, and protein. This all required to improve and stimulate the production of more sperm.

Apart from these you can avoid smoking, limiting alcohol, doing regular exercise and taking supplements will help to increase sperm count and chances to conceive will be much more.

Apart from these natural remedies, one can also try natural herbal products and men fertility herbs for boosting fertility without any side effects.
