Submitting your Expression of Interest in SkillSelect is a technical and you must ensure you do it right. In order to be considered for a skilled migration visa, all your documents and information should be in order. Failure to do so might result in expulsion or not being considered. Here are a few tips you need to follow when submitting your Expression of Interest in SkillSelect: Understand SkillSelect Numerous applicants worldwide are unaware of what purpose SkillSelect serves. SkillSelect in itself is not a visa form. When submitting an Expression of Interest, you are not in any way applying for a visa. Instead, you are placing yourself as a potential candidate for Australian skilled migration. You will be listed among the candidates, and if you strike the right opportunity, you will be called in for the visa procedure. In Accordance with your Circumstances You need to ensure that your Expression of Interest is in accordance with your circumstances. You can check the visa options available on www.immi.gov.au. Make sure you express interest in the right visa based upon your qualifications and circumstances. In addition, you will have to check the Skilled Occupation List on the website to make sure your occupation is eligible for skilled migration. Check the Requirements Check the requirements for the visa you are showing interest in before you start filling it out. Please note that not all visa types are available through SkillSelect, but justskilled migration visas. You must view the information booklets before making a move. Arrange Your Documents Make sure all your documents are in the right order before submitting an EOI. You will have to provide evidence of your required documents. For example, for IELTS, you will have to provide proof of your qualification. Go through the Guide Before starting out with the Expression of Interest, make sure you go through the ‘Getting Started’. This guide will give you an overview of what’s required and what’s not, and what’s the purpose of the visa. Consider it a requirement to read the Getting Started guide before submitting your EOI. When you start with your EOI, you will be given a unique EOI identification number. Once you have it, keep it safe as this will be your log-in ID for your EOI. Also, make sure you remember your security question. It will help you out in case you forget your username and password. Now, there is an online wizard on the website that will help you through the process. However, it is always recommended to go through the guides and lists to make sure you are on the right track. Don’t completely depend on the online wizard.
