Everybody knows how stressful planning a wedding can be, everything has to be perfectly coordinated in order to have the perfect wedding day. People spend months going to dress fittings, sampling dishes from dozens of caterers, and going to florists, but there is another very important part of wedding planning that some people tend to overlook: picking the time of year you want to hold your wedding. Many people plan to have their weddings during the spring and summer and tend to avoid planning anything past early September. Fall wedding invitations never seem to be sent out as often as invites for spring and summer ceremonies, but after you learn about the benefits of getting married during the autumn you'll wonder why more people don't get married when the leaves are starting to fall. Availability It seems like after you reach a certain age your spring and summer months will be full of bridal showers, dress fittings, and weddings. If you think that attending multiple weddings around the same time is complicated, wait until you try to plan a wedding at the exact same time your friends and coworkers are planning their own. If you want to ensure that your friends and guests have enough time to attend your wedding, plan your wedding for fall. You'll have ample time to prepare for your ceremony, and your friends will have fewer conflicting wedding events. Ideal Wedding Your friends aren't the only people who weighed down with weddings during the spring and summer. Florists, caterers, dress makers, and countless others who work in the bridal industry are working during their busiest season. If you plan your wedding during the traditional wedding season you may not be able to get everything you want. Your florist may not be able to give you the perfect roses you wanted because they were already promised to another bride, or your dream caterer may be booked through September. If you get married in the fall you won't have to make any compromises for what you want, people in the bridal industry will be done their busy season and they'll be able to focus their attention on you. Zero Weather Worries Many people choose to have their weddings during the spring and summer months because they want to have their ceremony when the weather is warm, but that "ideal weather" could cause some problems on the big day. The past few spring and summer seasons have been exceptionally warmer than usual, and some brides have found themselves drenched in sweat before the ceremony starts because of the extreme heat. There's also the issue of extreme weather events which seem to love the warm months, your wedding could fall on a day where a massive storm system is moving through your area. If you get married during the fall you won't have to worry about humid heat or a runaway thunderstorm ruining your big day. By the time autumn rolls around the temperatures and the weather are more stable, so you shouldn't expect any weather related problems.
