There are several advantages and disadvantages to living in an apartment in a building with many others who do the same. Some of the good things are meeting new people, not having to repair things that stop working properly, no landscaping, and using the garbage chute instead of hauling it outside to a can or bin. Unfortunately, the disadvantages can be smelling other people's food through the ventilation system, a lack of privacy, and more than all of the others combined, I can't play my drums in my apartment! I have been a drummer my entire life while living in houses with only a few other people. This didn't prepare me for the fact that playing my drums will disturb others in the apartment building that I have lived in for the last few months. Even if I play at a softer volume level, I still get other tenants complaining about the noise coming from my apartment. An apartment representative came to visit me the other day to tell me that the police would be notified if the sound continued. This caused me to panic. I can always practice on my other drum set at my girlfriend's place, but I record my music at home and the drum track is usually what I start with on any song that I record! I started thinking of how I was going to get around this huge problem without moving to a new home, then discovered an answer that has saved me and my music. I searched for drum beats online until I discovered a gigantic amount of them at an online music store. The options were limitless. Every option I was searching for including several types of rock, pop, rap, blues, hip hop, funk, jazz, blues, gospel, country, and more were downloaded instantly and directly into the computer that I use to record with. I was able to use them exactly the way that they were sent to me and make some changhes to them when I needed to. The drum beats and loops even introduced me to some beats and genres of music that I was unfamiliar with. Now I'm composing music that continues to be inspired by them. This is giving me a lot more insight into types of music that I new almost nothing about while making me a better musician and music producer. Two days ago I tried another idea that I had never thought of before. I used a drum loop for a recording then recorded a real drum performance to complement it. The results were fantastic and now I have an interesting combination that is taking my music to new levels that are impressing my friends and other musicians! I am often surprised how an unfortunate inconvenience can turn out to have positive ramifications in my life. Thanks goodness I visited the online music store that day. Now drum beats online has improved my music and brought it to new heights. I'm going to suggest it to all of my colleagues!
